Cam Inman is a Bay Area native who’s lived in Pleasanton since 1995. He grew up in Cupertino with the dream of becoming a sportswriter. This is his 25th season covering the San Francisco 49ers and the NFL for the Bay Area News Group, which includes the East Bay Times and San Jose Mercury News, a newspaper he used to deliver on his bicycle as a pre-teen.
His second book, The Franchise: San Francisco 49ers, officially came out on Sept. 24 by Triumph Books. It covers the team’s history and legends through his exclusive interviews and eyewitness accounts.
Cam and his wife, Jennifer Branchini, have raised three children in her native Pleasanton, including daughters currently attending UCLA Law and Point Loma Nazarene University, and a son who is a junior at Amador Valley High. Cam is also a licensed Realtor for Compass’ Pleasanton office. He enjoys golfing, running, supporting local restaurants, and sampling IPAs from coast to coast.
